Communications

District Secretaries’ Communications Plan

There is more to the job than taking minutes (although that is your primary task). You will sometimes be the communicator for your district or unit. Decide on your top audiences to communicate with regularly.

Some suggestions are:
  • Active members of United Women in Faith in your district or unit
  • Nonactive and potential members
What will be your main forms of communication:
  • Website
  • Newsletter
  • e-newsletter
  • Facebook
  •  texting
  • USPS mailings
Decide how often you want to communicate:
  • Monthly newsletter or e-newsletter
  • Any time there is a schedule change or cancellation
  • Any time there is a new opportunity to volunteer or join an action

You are sharing the work of United Women in Faith and inviting women to a creative, supportive sisterhood. United Women in Faith is a chance to transform through education, develop as leaders, and make life better for women, children, and youth down the street and around the world through service, advocacy, and mission giving.
