Scholarships are available for PNW laity and clergy who are registered for a Two-Year Academy for Spiritual Formation starting this summer. The Board of Ordained Ministry has partnered with The Upper Room to provide five matching scholarships, each putting in $1,000 for a total of $2,000 per recipient. Applicants must be accepted to an Academy before applying for a scholarship, which will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis. Please contact Rev. Joanne Coleman Campbell at jecolecamp@gmail.com for more information.

The two Academies starting this summer are:

July 29, 2018 – May 1, 2020
Danville, California (San Damiano Retreat Center)

August 27, 2018 – April 18, 2020
Gallant, Alabama (Camp Sumatanga Retreat Center near Birmingham, AL)

The Academy for Spiritual Formation® is a two-year journey into the heart, mind, soul and will of Christ. Participants gather eight times for five days every calendar quarter – a total of 40 days in retreat. Recognizing the power of the Holy Spirit to shape our lives, worship, lectures, silence and small groups offer a balanced approach to spiritual formation.  Participation is open to laypersons and clergy from all denominations; racial-ethnic participants are encouraged to apply.
