Michelle Lang-Raymond as innovator/developer of new multicultural hub project

SeaTac Missional District Superintendent Rev. Derek Nakano announces his intention to assign Michelle Lang-Raymond as innovator/developer of Acts On Stage, a new multicultural hub project in Seattle, effective July 1, 2020.

A long-time resident of Seattle, Washington, Michelle will be returning from Portland, Oregon, after serving as a professor and campus pastor at Warner Pacific University. For the last 10 years, Michelle has partnered with Isiah Anderson, Jr., to lead Seattle’s Teen Summer Musical, which opens annually at Benaroya Hall.

“I am excited about this new expression of Methodism, brought about through the innovative intersection of drama and community engagement in Seattle,” said Rev. Derek Nakano, SeaTac District Superintendent. “Michelle is a gifted pastor, musician, and a powerful voice for women in church and society who seeks to reach folks right where they are with a message of radical hospitality and inclusive love.”
