WASHINGTON (UMNS) — The Rev. Adam Hamilton, senior pastor, United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kan., recently wrote a column in the Washington Post in which he said he believes Christians in the future “will read the Bible’s passages regarding homosexuality as all Christians today read the Bible’s passages on slavery.” Leaders of Good News, an unofficial United Methodist caucus, responded, saying its leaders “believe the Bible’s teaching on sexual morality and God’s intention is based on far more than a few isolated verses.”
