Bishop Elaine J.W. Stanovsky intends to appoint the Rev. Melinda Giese as Minister of Discipleship and Pastoral Care of Puyallup United Methodist Church in Puyallup, Washington, beginning July 1, 2020.
Summit United Methodist Church in Tacoma, where Rev. Giese is currently appointed, and Puyallup United Methodist Church recently voted to merge their congregations.
