Bishop Elaine J.W. Stanovsky intends to appoint the Rev. Dr. Jacob Kanake as Pastor of Colfax UMC in Colfax, Washington, and Saint John UMC in Saint John, Washington, beginning July 1, 2019.
Rev. Kanake is an ordained pastor in The Methodist Church in Kenya, serving in ministry there before coming to the United States in 2001 for further education. He has also served congregations in Minnesota
