The Place at the Table campaign aims to raise funds to construct a western ranch style dining hall to allow 170 people to comfortably share a meal at one time.

The Place at the Table campaign to construct a new dining hall at Lazy F Camp and Retreat Center is officially in high gear! Along with many friends of the camp, we are very excited about the opportunity ahead of us.

As you may know, in October, a handful of friends provided a huge incentive in the campaign. They pledged to match every gift, large or small, dollar for dollar up to $150,000! Since this was announced, momentum has been building with over $182,000 given or pledged, exceeding the challenge!

This means that in the last three months, $332,000 has been pledged and given to the campaign. God is good!

Our groundbreaking goal of $1.4 million is within reach! With your help, we know that this will happen in the next several months and we will be able to break ground in April. There are a number of items that need to come together for this to happen, so please keep this process in your prayers. The construction timeline is actually very compact; there is potential to be in the new building before next winter.

So far the campaign has included friends of the camp, groups utilizing the site, and folks involved at a series of special events. The next phase has two prongs: connecting with our United Methodist Churches and reaching out to skilled construction folks who can help us keep the cost of construction down.  We are hopeful that you will be ready to be involved in this process, together we will make this new building that will help better connect our campers and guests during meals a reality!
