The new dining hall at Lazy F Camp and Retreat Center is up and running!

The new space was christened on March 1st with several youth groups, then quilters and a women’s group the following weekend, and a group of 145 people with the Department of Natural Resources. Coming up next are our own United Methodist Women, followed by Seven Rivers Clergy and Laity. Our spring is full with midweek groups starting at the end of March and weekends in the Spring and Summer. We are already benefitting from the new dining hall and space it offers (we could even squeeze in another group or two)!

Dedication Service Sunday, May 19th

Please join us on Sunday, May 19th for a dedication service for this new facility. Activities will begin at 2 PM with the service at 3 PM and a meal shortly after. There will be time to look around the building, revel in the beauty of God’s creation while on the Mack Cross View Courtyard, and converse with friends and new acquaintances around the table while enjoying a meal.

Based on the response to the open house in November, we anticipate a great turnout! Please email (office@lazyfcamp.org) or call (509 962-2780) our office by May 10th so we may know how many to expect. I hope you will be able to join us as we celebrate this wonderful addition to our ministry!

Matching Opportunity Expires April 15th

Great news to share is that friends of Lazy F have given almost $2.1 million to this project. Thanks be to God for the dedicated servants who have generously contributed!

A generous donor is now matching up to $150,000 in new gifts and new pledges.  The response so far has been tremendous – we are over halfway to maximizing this opportunity! Since December, friends of the camp (and potentially YOU!) have given just over $85,000! This has already been matched, totaling $170,000! We do not want to leave the other $65,000 on the table!

Please consider what you may be able to give so your donation can be matched. This date has been set since it is when we will finalize our loan amount. Remember, all new gifts and new pledges must be received by April 15, 2019 to be eligible for the match. Contact the Lazy F office for more details.

Our PNW Conference churches and individuals have been tremendous in the support of this new facility.  This gorgeous building set in God’s beautiful creation will be a tremendous asset for our Conference.  We look forward to working with our churches, agencies, and groups to partner in ministry so we can do the work of God together.
