On December 18, a rare EF2 tornado struck Port Orchard, Washington causing major structural damage to over 50 homes and other buildings just before the Christmas holiday.

The Rev. David Valera offers this look through interviews and images at how the community responded to give people hope, and how United Methodist volunteers were instrumental in offering expertise, coordination and a return to life.
