Lay Servant Ministries: Living Our United Methodist Beliefs (United Methodist Heritage)
Lay Servants who have completed the Basic Course are invited to participate in this five-week class on living our United Methodist beliefs, led by Nancy Goddard, CLM, from October 19 – November 16, 2026. The class will be held on Zoom on Mondays from 6:00-8:00 PM. This class is worth 1 CEU and counts toward either Lay Servant or Lay Speaker Certification. It is also a prerequisite for Certified Lay Minister Modules.
This course will explore the special gifts of theology, witness, and organization that The UMC brings to the church universal, how we got where we are today, and how our distinctive emphases are still needed in the 21st-century church. This is an Advanced LSM course.

Participant Requirements: Must have completed the Basic course. Each participant must have a book, read it, complete assignments, and be fully engaged in all 5 sessions with audio and video capability active. The registration deadline is October 9.
