Lay Servant Ministries: Called to Preach
Called to Preach is designed for those who have not completed formal preaching training, for pastor seeking a basic refresher course, and for others who are called upon to preach in a pastor’s absence. The class is led by Revs. Joanne Coleman Campbell and Daniel Miranda, PNW AC, from October 1-29, 2026. The class will be held on Zoom on Thursdays from 6:00-8:00 pm PT (7:00-9:00 pm MT). This class is worth 1 CEU and counts toward either Lay Servant or Lay Speaker Certification. It is also a prerequisite for Certified Lay Minister Modules.

Participant Requirements: Must have completed the LSM Basic course. Each participant must have a book, read it, complete assignments, and be fully engaged in all 5 sessions with audio and video capability active. Availability on October 28 is optional for those able, to help facilitate sermons presentations. The registration deadline is September 17 2026.
