Lay Pastoral Care Training (Online)

Click here to register for an eight-week Zoom or in-person course based on Timothy M. Farabaugh’s book Lay Pastoral Care Giving. This training will include the basics of lay pastoral care, why a system for this vital form of care can be a life-giving ministry for congregations of any size, and how to create and commission a team for your church.  This course is offered by Rev. Alissa Amestoy, pastor of Spokane Valley UMC.

Two sessions will be offered;

• Session 1 will be a Zoom session held Wednesdays from 6:30 pm – 8 pm starting August 2 and running through September 20.
• Session 2 will be an in-person session at Spokane Valley UMC held on Wednesdays from 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm starting August 2 and running through September 20.
