Conference Council on Young Adult Ministries

The Conference Council on Young Adult Ministries (CCOYAM) purpose is to strengthen young adult ministry in the local churches and districts of the annual conference. It initiates and supports new projects of interest to young adults, advocates for the free expression and full participation of all people within the church, and works to connect young adults to the life and structure of the annual conference. We do this because we know that young people have something to offer to the church and because we believe that God’s church has great work ahead of it!

This will be our first formal meeting of the year. We’ll consider new plans on how to best support young adult ministry in local churches, the 2014 Young Adult Retreat, and have a discussion on CCOYAM’s purpose and vision for the year.

The Executive Team will gather from 11am to Noon with the open meeting starting at Noon and finishing by 4:00pm. The meeting, beginning with a light lunch, is open to all young adults, clergy and lay, between the ages of 18 (upon graduation) and 35. Campus ministers and others working with young adults in the church are also welcome to attend.
