Join us for an update on the Mercy Housing Northwest and Mason United Methodist Church partnership bringing the first new affordable apartments to North Tacoma’s Proctor District.
We’ll discuss our 100+ family-unit project in the context of new statewide legislation encouraging housing development on religious owned land, an expanding regional YIGBY (Yes in God’s Backyard) movement, and the local focus on innovating to meet housing needs, especially in high-opportunity, unaffordable in-city locations.
Panelists include Mercy Housing Northwest staff and Mason UMC representatives, as well as local housing experts and planning professionals. The session will include a moderated discussion, followed by an audience Q&A.
