DESCRIPTION:Organized by Jan Shannon and Twinlow Camp\, The Rainbow Retreat is a weekend retreat for LGBTIA+ adults to come and have a fun weekend in a safe place. \nLodging and meals are provided starting with dinner on Friday night to Sunday breakfast. Make sure to bring your swim gear and some SPF because we will be spending some time playing in the lake! Lodging will be in our Retreat Center\, located below the Dining Hall. There are two luxury bunk rooms\, bathrooms are down the hall\, and a large meeting room for games and the camp store are also just down the hall. \nClick here to register today!\nMore Info on the Retreat \nThis is the fourth annual Rainbow Retreat\, but this year we have relocated to Twinlow Camp and Retreat Center due to the whole-hearted welcome of The United Methodist Church that we have experienced in The Pacific Northwest Conference. The main goal of the retreat is to provide the LGBTQ community a safe place to rest and relax beside one of the northwest’s most beautiful lakes. There are not many places in Eastern Washington or Northern Idaho for the queer community to relax and be themselves on a public beach\, so we have created this retreat to fulfill that need. \nParticipants can expect to find great food\, new friends\, a beautiful lake\, and hours and hours of space to simply be themselves and enjoy our beautiful Pacific Northwest summer. \nThe retreat is not a religious event\, however\, a Sunday morning Christian worship experience will be available for those who wish to attend; communion will be offered by PNW Elder Rev. Terri Stewart. No evangelism\, no pressure\, no proselytizing. \nMore Info about the Organizer \nJan Shannon is well known in the Christian and queer communities in Spokane\, has spoken at the state legislature against trans-exclusionary bathroom bills\, and at the 2017 Spokane Women’s March. Jan‘s mission\, as a Christian and former pastor\, is to create safe spaces for the LGBTQ community to re-encounter their spiritual life and to offer opportunities to experience a loving\, safe\, and compassionate God.

If you are a young adult between the ages of 18-35(ish) come enjoy a long weekend of wintery fun. Activities may include: sking/snow boarding\, broomball\, snowshoeing\, card games\, crafts\, and more. Oh\, and the best part\, worshiping with friends. \nCheck in starts at 4:00 pm on Saturday. First meal is Dinner on Saturday at 6:00 pm and the last meal is Breakfast Monday Morning. \n**Skiers and Snowboarders can check in Friday night. We will head to the slopes Saturday morning. DESCRIPTION:Open to: Youth Groups and Leaders  \nCost: $65 per person (both youth and leaders) \nGrab your boots\, mittens\, scarves and other warm gear and head to Twinlow this January! This weekend is full of winter fun and praising God with other youth groups from our area. We will worship together\, sled\, drink hot coco\, play broom ball on our frozen lake\, and there might just be a game of all camp snow football. Winter camp is the classic Twinlow experience with a foot or two of snow (we hope!). \n$65 per person including group leaders and this includes Selkirk Lodging on Saturday and Sunday nights and 5 meals from Saturday dinner – Monday Breakfast. \nCheck in will begin at 2:00 pm on Saturday\, feel free to show up anytime after that. SUMMARY:Scrap and Sew Retreat
DESCRIPTION:Cost: $110 if registered by October 15th. $120 after or at the door. \nCome enjoy a weekend of crafting! You bring the crafts\, we bring the programming. Relax\, be creative\, and worship with friends. \nOpen to ladies 15 and older (under 18 must have an adult chaperone). Lodging is available Thursday night through Sunday morning. Meals are Friday dinner-Sunday breakfast. Bring your own crafts\, sewing supplies\, or whatever you need to relax for the weekend. \nThis is a weekend for many ladies\, who are often primary care-takers\, to get away. That being said\, we would appreciate all participants to be mindful of their physical needs\, if you need extra assistance getting around\, or you have health needs\, please make sure to arrange ahead of time someone to help you get through the weekend. Transportation to and from Twinlow Camp is not arranged by Twinlow.
