SUMMARY:Love Boldly - Serve Joyfully - Lead Courageously - UMCOR's Early Response Team Basic Training
DESCRIPTION:Now is the time to get ready and join the next mission. \nAn ERT Basic Training is set for Saturday\, September 26 in person at Des Moines United Methodist Church (22225 9th Ave. S\, Des Moines\, WA 98198) from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. PT. The ERT Basic Training will prepare you on ways to clean out a flooded home\, haul debris\, sort ashes and work alongside survivors while staying safe. United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) certified trainers teach the class and include real-world examples\, hands-on activities\, plus an opportunity to meet people with a passion for serving. The training is open to anyone 18 years or older with a willingness to serve. \nRegister now at: https://gnw-reg.brtapp.com/ERTBasic2026 \nThe registration fee is $25 and includes all training materials\, lunch and snacks. The registration deadline is Monday\, September 14th. There are several prerequisites to complete before the class so please register ASAP. \nOur ERTs are in the field and assisted disaster survivors recover from the December floods and this summer’s wildfires.  What we do as ERTs makes a difference. Please contact Kathy Bryson\, PNW Conference Disaster Response Coordinator\, at brysonpnw@gmail.com\, (509) 539-2978\, if you have questions.
