Cedar Cross United Methodist Church in Mill Creek, WA, is seeking applicants for the position of part-time Youth Director. This position reports to the Lead Pastor, Youth Council Chair, and Staff Parish Relations Committee.

This is a part-time salaried position with approximately 10 hours/week. The majority of the hours will be evenings and weekends. The annual salary is $12,000.

General Responsibilities include:

Provide creative leadership and long term vision for the youth program at CCUMC
Develop quality youth programs and ministries for Cedar Cross and the community,
Recruitment, Training, Supervision, and Support of adult volunteers in the youth program
Ensure compliance with Safe Church Guidelines

Specific Job Tasks include:

Lead regularly scheduled Youth Group meetings ( meetings are currently held on Sunday evening)
Attend worship services and encourage youth to attend
Oversee planning and execution of youth events such as summer activities and mission work
Attend Youth Council meetings
Maintain a calendar of youth events and communicate it in the monthly church newsletter

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience in creation and development of youth ministry program
Ability to act personably with youth, volunteers, and church members at large
Desire to work with youth and guide their spiritual development
Organizational skills to include communication and online platforms
