Peace with Justice Grants<\/strong>
\nBy Ann Eachus<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cPeace with Justice\u201d grants are being offered by The United Methodist Church and The PNW Conference\u2019s Church and Society Action Team. The Peace with Justice program supports programs and projects with a mission of building shalom.<\/p>\n

Proposals are welcome from local United Methodist churches, ecumenical bodies, or private non-profit organizations. Innovative, creative projects promoting community, national, world peace, or addressing civil liberties or social justice issues will be given priority. <\/p>\n

Funding is limited – so requests should be for $1,000 or less. <\/p>\n

\nHow to Apply<\/strong>
\nApplications should include numbered responses on one page answering the following:<\/p>\n

1.\tName of organization<\/p>\n

2.\tReligious institution (Private or Non-Profit?)<\/p>\n

3.\tSummary of organization\u2019s purpose, history and current programs<\/p>\n

4.\tSummary of need for project<\/p>\n

5.\tHave you received a Peace with Justice Grant(s) previously? When (Date)?<\/p>\n

6.\tProject title<\/p>\n

7.\tDescription of project<\/p>\n

8.\tAmount requested and funding period to be covered<\/p>\n

9.\tContact person, title, e-mail, mailing address, and phone<\/p>\n
