For more info, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/wastatednr\/8595578103\/in\/photostream\/\" target=\"_blank\">click here.<\/a><\/em><\/center><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>ERT: Whidbey Island home needs volunteers for salvage<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>By Jim Truitt<\/em><br \/>\n<em><br \/>\nWhidbey Island project also will serve as an ERT exercise for further training<\/em><\/p>\n<p>I have received a request for support from the Island County Emergency Manager via the Washington State Volunteer Organizations Active In Disaster (WAVOAD).<\/p>\n<p>A home that is currently \u201cYellow-Tagged\u201d will need to have items removed and have installation work done. Note: The site is safe to enter but not for habitation. Having this home yellow-tagged will give the homeowner time to remove whatever he wants from the home.<\/p>\n<p><!--more Read more about the work to be done--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Items to be salvaged:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oak flooring (approximately 1800 sq. ft.)<\/li>\n<li>Oak crown molding<\/li>\n<li>Oak window, door trim<\/li>\n<li>Oak doors<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Tasks:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Apply plywood to doors and windows.<\/li>\n<li>Ronda Cordill will coordinate VIM teams to reinstall the windows and doors, following salvage tasks.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Goals:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Use this as an exercise for ERT processes<\/li>\n<li>Build team rapport and reach out to the community<\/li>\n<li>Complete overall project by May 20 (materials need to be removed and securing tasks need to be completed by the 19th)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Another note: power and sanitary facilities will be available.<\/p>\n<p>If you can support this ERT deployment, please let me know as soon as possible and let me know when you would be available.
