I questioned my very existence and identity. <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>I questioned everything about myself<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Yet, I just became someone I\u2019m not. I covered myself <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>in the shadows<\/strong><\/span>, in the wrong way. However, after CI 2017, I slowly picked up the pieces and now I am me, the true me.<\/p>\n<p>I learned so many things during CI. From new ways to <strong><span style=\"color: #808000;\">improve my lifestyle to strengthening my faith with God<\/span><\/strong> and everything I believe in. I learned how to handle <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>negative energy<\/strong><\/span> and people with love, and to always let my <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>will of fire<\/strong><\/span> shine bright. I learned that <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>being myself is okay, because that\u2019s who I am<\/strong><\/span>. The theme relates to me because we all are trying to find ourselves and our identity. <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Who Do I Say I Am?<\/strong><\/span> Well I\u2019m a protector, a comforter, a shadow to a big light. For the Pacific Northwest Christmas Institute of 2017 is a place where <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>I felt enlightened<\/strong><\/span> by the fact <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>I don\u2019t always have to be independent with my life<\/strong><\/span> and to <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>never underrate gratitude<\/strong><\/span>. Now I know there is no shame in <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>asking my God for help<\/strong><\/span> and simultaneously, getting up in the morning <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>radiating with life<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>With my peers, I am known to be somebody who is compassionate. This is due to my perspective that <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>people need to be well-cared for<\/strong><\/span>, especially when they neglect to care for themselves. For example, <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>my feelings from CI 2017 have refreshed my want to become a physiotherapist<\/strong><\/span> so I can promote having an introspective on living a healthy physical life. With things changing and people adapting, <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>I am confident that my God has a plan for me<\/strong><\/span> to act accordingly to their will. I am able to learn more about God, as well as myself. Throughout my years at CI I have gotten to know God more, <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>especially during family groups<\/strong><\/span> when we talk about the scriptures.<\/p>\n<p>My favorite thing that we do at CI is <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Act of Faith<\/strong><\/span>. During this time, I am really able to reflect on <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>my faith and my life<\/strong><\/span>. At my first year of CI (5 years ago), I had this amazing feeling that I can\u2019t even explain through words. When I went through my first Act of Faith, when <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>I kneeled in front of the cross<\/strong><\/span> at Camp Berachah, <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>that was the first time that I really felt the presence of God<\/strong><\/span>. It was probably the best thing I\u2019ve ever felt <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>in my life<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019ve gone to CI every year since then, not only to meet new friends and get myself together, but also <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>to feel the presence of God in different ways<\/strong><\/span>. CI has definitely taught me a lot about myself. CI 2017 was very eventful and impactful to so many people. <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>CI is a great time of reflection<\/strong><\/span>. So, when I got the chance to participate I took it as <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>a time of reflection on 2017, my life so far, and my faith journey so far.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>As campers, we were tasked to the question of <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>\u201cWho is God to us?\u201d<\/strong><\/span> What does God mean to you? <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>You think at first, it\u2019s a simple question<\/strong><\/span> that you can answer in a single word or sentence. But, leaders had to create that question, so campers had 5 days of reflection.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>You may say Savior, Lord, Prince of Peace, Provider and so much more<\/strong><\/span>. There are <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>so many answers<\/strong><\/span> and that\u2019s what makes that question amazing. You can have two people with totally different answers. During CI, <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>you have other people to talk to and you can join each other in reflection<\/strong><\/span>. You hear different answers and different opinions. <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>CI is a great opportunity as a camper because you can better understand God<\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>So, I ask you; <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>do know who is God to you? My questions were, <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>\u201cWhere are we going? What are we going to do?\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>During CI, <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>I met some new friends and learned more about them<\/strong><\/span>. What I learned in CI was about <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>Jesus<\/strong><\/span>. <span style=\"color: #808000;\"><strong>I learned who He is to me and what He did for u<\/strong><\/span>s.
