{"id":1842,"date":"2020-11-29T10:30:27","date_gmt":"2020-11-29T18:30:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pnwumc.org\/hfca\/?p=1842"},"modified":"2020-11-29T11:02:54","modified_gmt":"2020-11-29T19:02:54","slug":"jamaa-letu-news-november-2020","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.pnwumc.org\/hfca\/?p=1842","title":{"rendered":"JAMAA LETU NEWS-November 2020"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Jamaa Letu Orphanage newsletter is compiled from the November Quarterly Report from the Director\u2019s of the BART &amp; and the June Quarterly Report from the Director\u2019s of CEJAL Jamaa Letu Orphanages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Boys\u2019 Orphanage\u2014BART<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Bart\u2019s boys and staff thank God for his glory and goodness in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and we went to take this opportunity to wish you the best in Jesus name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We thank you very much for your financial, physical, and moral support and encouragement. You have given them shelter, education, food, and everything that a child needs to grow, and be able to contribute to the development of successful adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>May our God continue to bless you all and your families abundantly <strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Kafweta Naweji Paul, Director of the Orphanage <br>November 2020<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Boys Activities<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The whole country is in a state of emergency because the Corona virus pandemic, and the Congolese government had announced the measures of restrictions to limit spread. Because of these restrictions the children have been involved in the following activities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Wearing masks<\/li><li>Washing hands using hydro-alcoholic disinfectant<\/li><li>Avoiding contaminated objects<\/li><li>Cleaning their rooms<\/li><li>Cleaning the compound<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Education<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Here we have 22 children but 4 children finalists of secondary school were waiting for their results. This is the reason why they still are remaining in the orphanage. Many prefer to be missionaries and pastors. We pray to our Lord to guide them in achieving their dreams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Medical Care<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We still give thanks to God during this period despite the pandemic that all the children are doing well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Difficulties and Needs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Shortage of the electricity; it is very hard to keep fresh foods.<\/li><li>Need of generator<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Main Activities and Work Done<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We had participated in the annual conference which was organized by Bishop Kasap\u2019 Owan in August 2 through 4, 2020.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We had also participated in the meeting which was organized by Bishop Kasap\u2019 Owan on September 29, 2020. who\u2019s dedicated to us and always visiting comforting and assisting us especially during crisis and difficult times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-jetpack-tiled-gallery aligncenter measures of confinement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ubuntu Mission (brought us masks (mufflers) and other assistance)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rev. &amp; Mrs. Nkonge and Mrs. Tina (brought food and bought a meal for our
