Girls Orphanage
\u2014CEJAL (Centre for Jamaa Letu)<\/strong><\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The Staff at the Orphanage Needs Prayers Too!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You might be familiar with the names of the children, but we also keep the staff in our prayers!  At the girls\u2019 orphanage, please pray for:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Director, Mrs. Maruv Kayombo Rosine<\/strong>; secretary, Mr. Muteteke Cedrick<\/strong>; educator for the kindergarten, Mrs. Kanyembo Gisele<\/strong>, the Mamas, Mrs. Kalenga Mbuya Suzane<\/strong>, and Mrs. Mwadi Lyly<\/strong>; cook, Mrs. Mujinga Jeanine<\/strong>; House and Storage Keeper, Mrs. Ilunga Jose<\/strong>; and Gardener, Mr. Kapend Kazaj Eddy<\/strong>.  There are also 2 security guards from the YMUF Company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mama Suzane, <\/strong>our mother caregiver, has suffered a stroke that paralyzed her temporarily. It is clear that she can no longer work at the orphanage due to her actual physical and mental state. The local Episcopal Office will work for solutions on this sensitive issue to organize Mama Susane\u2019s retirement as smoothly as possible in concert with her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Josephine I Got Married<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Josephine<\/strong> got married on March 23rd<\/sup>, <\/sub>2019 to Mr. Pierre M<\/strong>. The ceremony took place at our Samarie church in Ruashi and a reception was held at CEJAL in honor of the newlywed couple.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Esperance Is Expecting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

In accordance to the orphanage\u2019s rules, she couldn\u2019t be allowed to stay at CEJAL with her sisters. We have met with her boyfriend and his family to find a solution to this problem with the help of Rev. Francine Tshisola. The family has accepted to take full responsibility over Esperance. She now lives at her boyfriend\u2019s sister here in Lubumbashi downtown. She will continue to study at her high school and her tuition has already been paid in full prior to the unfortunate event. We can only hope that she will obtain her diploma this year and go on with her life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Facilities<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Work is continuing on water and plumbing issues. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local Support\n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Local support in the first quarter included corn flour, oil, fish, chicken, beans, toiletries and clothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Please pray for the staff at the boys\u2019 orphanage: <\/strong>director, Kafweta\u2013Naweji Paul<\/strong>; permanent lady: Kamwengu\u2013Nene<\/strong>; cook, Mand\u2013Kalend<\/strong>; guards, Yimemisombo\u2013John <\/strong>and Mutamba\u2013Charle<\/strong>; and missionaries, Fresie Chikomb <\/strong>and Mr. Jean\u2013Paul Dietrich<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Boy\u2019s Family Has Been Found!\n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

You will notice the absence of Danny N, <\/strong>a child who lived the past two years in our orphanage. Danny was brought to us by social affairs office of Lubumbashi; they just located his parents and the child returned to his family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A New Boy Has Joined the Orphanage\n<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Recently we received a new boy from social affairs of Commune Kamalondo. He is an 8 year-old by name of Lievien.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Medical Update <\/h2>\n\n\n\n
\"\"<\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

During this quarter, we found out that Rumej<\/strong> has a medical condition that will require surgical repair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Willy <\/strong>was hospitalized for few days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

<\/em>Makobe <\/strong>was baptized. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

Mukey,<\/strong> Rumej,<\/strong> and Willy <\/strong>are Boy Scouts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local Support\n<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

From local assistance, we received food, toiletries, and clothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
