District Superintendent David Nieda will lead a basic training for all Staff/Pastor Parish Relations Committee chairs and members on April 26 from 6:30-7:30pm. The training will cover an overview of S/PPR roles and responsibilities. Among the topics covered will be: Pastoral care for the pastor and family, handling complaints and conflict, salary worksheets, vacations/renewal/days off/continuing education, pastoral appointments and transition. If you have any other questions or issues that you’d like addressed, please send them to Sabrina Venture at vancouver@pnwumc.org.
This will be a webinar based training using the simple WebEx platform. You might make this part of your S/PPRC meeting or individuals can log in from home or remotely. There is room for 25 computer connections. There is no charge for this training.
