“If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.”
~ African Proverb
Following the Way of Jesus has challenges unique to each generation and time period in history. This special, annual event brings together the people and resources of historic and emerging Churches to explore the trends, challenges, hopes and dreams that impact our mission together. Sharing resources, ideas, and collaborating on important work—we reimagine what it looks like to be the Church in this slice of history and in this local context. Together, we can look at the full picture and face the future, while honoring our rich history and past. Come and journey with us!
Theme: “One in the Spirit”
Throughout stories of Gospel and Church, the ancient Greek word, pneuma (πνεῦμα) is a key concept. Meaning literally “breath,” it takes on nuanced meaning in a religious context—the dynamic movement of “spirit” or “soul.” Together, we are committed to this pursuit of a synchronized pneuma within the Church and within our learning here at Seattle University’s School of Theology and Ministry. We have much to learn from each other. We can go alone, but we can go farther together.
