Green Faith Webinar with Rev. Fletcher Harper
May 17, 2015 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

“The time has come for people of faith to make a commitment to a future with clean air and water, productive lands, healthy rivers and oceans, an abundance of life, and a restored climate.” Rev. Fletcher Harper
Groups and individuals around the Pacific Northwest Conference are reading the book, Green Faith, as a way of deepening our congregations’ engagement with creation care, and inspiring us to move from reflection to action. Now we have a unique opportunity to meet the author of this powerful book, Rev. Fletcher Harper.

Rev. Harper will join us via webinar to discuss the climate crisis and why the church must raise its voice and how we, as people of faith, can make a difference. A webinar is a presentation you can watch on your computer. You’ll be able to see and hear Rev. Harper, and you’ll be able to ask him questions.
REGISTER HERE to join the webinar! You can:
- Host a viewing potluck! Set up a projector and screen, share a meal, and interact with Rev. Harper as a group. After the webinar is over, use provided discussion questions to reflect on the ways in which your church is being called to deepen its creation care practices.
- View the webinar from home! Login and gather online with United Methodists from around the conference as we reflect together.
Want to read the book either before or after the webinar? Get it through Cokesbury or Amazon.
“It is powerful to turn back to our traditions and see–as this compelling book shows–that at their roots they have much to teach us about how to live in peace with the natural world. There are plenty of messages waiting to be discovered, in word and practice; they’ve been sitting there all along… If ever there was a book for it’s moment in time, this is it.” Bill McKibben on Green Faith.
