Earth-Friendly Gardening Seminar and Plant Exchange at Bellevue First UMC

Meet a local organic farmer from Steel Wheel Farm near Fall City, and get tips on cultivating your own vegetable garden, even if your space is limited. Learn about where our food comes from and how food connects to such issues as biodiversity, climate change, public health, and social justice as we watch the documentary “Nourish.” Children’s Program: “Mustard Seeds, Trash and How Little Things make a Big Difference.” Crafts using recycled materials. Kids should bring a brown bag lunch and clothes that can get dirty as they will be planting a vegetable garden! Doors open at9:30 AM; program begins at 10 AM. Refreshment and door prizes.
