Design Matters with Jason Moore
February 8, 2014 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Design Matters is a “how-to” day aimed at helping pastors, worship leaders and media directors make more effective use of their screens in worship.
About the seminar
Now that many congregations have screens in their sanctuaries, there are a lot of people who are trying to use them weekly, but struggle with making good imagery on their own. It is common to hear from hard-working people that the usual nature footage and Holy Blobs of Color are tiresome. Churches are ready to move to the next level and want powerful, fresh imagery that actually means something. The goal of this day is to help participants learn how to make images that point people to Christ using the visual language of our culture. This next-level seminar takes a closer look at creating powerful media for worship with an in-depth and hands-on examination of principles for design, ways to utilize media in worship, tools of the trade, and much more. Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops as we explore image making together.
Who is it for?
Design Matters focuses on the specific needs of the specialist in media AND the arts. Who are the visual experts, or who are the eager “newbies”, in your congregation? Whether the pastor, music leader, or technical director, staff and/or volunteer–this day is all about learning how to make more powerful imagery for worship.
Registration – free to planters, sponsors, planting teams. $20 per person for everyone else.
