DESCRIPTION:Let’s get together – ya\, ya\, ya!\nA FREE Cyber Retreat for Sisters in Ministry\n“If I ever miss the sharing that happens when women get together\, it is like a hole in my heart that can’t be filled with anything else. Like missing the twin from whom I was separated at birth\, and realizing there is something missing. SISTERS! It’s important to have a time to share with one another!” \n– A PNW clergy sister \nThis year\, even though we can’t meet in-person\, we can meet on Zoom\, and do the special sharing that we have done each year at the Women in Ministry Retreat. We’ll miss the special beauty and delicious meals at Rainbow Lodge. We’ll miss the late-night catching up with one or two sisters\, hiking in the woods\, playing board games\, and sharing worship times. But\, we don’t have to miss all of it! \nHere’s an opportunity to check in with one another on zoom. To discover our DNA as sisters in ministry. To share the blessings and frustrations\, the heartbreak and joy of being in ministry as a woman appointed in the PNW Conference of United Methodist Church. \nLike Hayley Mills in The Parent Trap (the first one) we can discover ourselves again in the stories of others. DESCRIPTION:Are you feeling stressed out\, discouraged\, and in need of ideas on building coping strategies? The stress of clergy life is all too familiar\, and this past year with coronavirus changing everything about how we do ministry has made it worse than ever. In this workshop\, we will explore the common sources of stress and how it can lead to feelings of depression and potentially burnout unless we adopt better coping mechanisms. To serve as a Safety Advocate\, you must first pass a national background check\, complete the basic abuse “Awareness Training” and “Skillful Screenings” Trainings offered through your church’s Ministry Safe dashboard. Our goal is to raise our level of knowledge and concern about these impacts\, recognize them in ourselves and our institutions\, and explore how we can begin to take actions toward right relationship with Native peoples.  The Toward Right Relationship Project offers this workshop in response to calls from Indigenous leaders at the United Nations and the World Council of Churches.. \nPresented by First United Methodist Church\, Bellevue with Friends Peace Teams\, established by Quakers in 1993\, a Spirit-led organization working to develop long-term relationships with communities in conflict around the world to create programs for peacebuilding\, healing\, and reconciliation.
