The remainder of the week will include a separate focused day of work for each conference and individual days for ordination and commissioning services in PNW and OR-ID. \n\nThe GNW Area-wide Opening will take place on the evening of Sunday\, June 19.\nThe Alaska Conference will meet online on Monday\, June 20\, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. AKT.\nThe Pacific Northwest Conference will meet online on Tuesday\, June 21\, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. PT.\nThe Pacific Northwest Conference’s Service of Commissioning and Ordination will occur during the day on Wednesday\, June 22.\nThe Oregon-Idaho Conference will meet online on Thursday\, June 23\, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. PT\, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. MT.\nThe Oregon-Idaho Conference’s Service of Commissioning and Ordination will occur during the day on Friday\, June 24.\nThe GNW Area-wide closing plenary and celebration will occur during the day on Saturday\, June 25.\n\nEach day of business will include morning bible studies and evening devotions during the first and last hour. United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) certified trainers teach the class and include real-world examples\, hands-on activities\, plus an opportunity to meet people with a passion for serving. \nThe three-part training combines two two-hour Zoom-based sessions and one four-hour in-person class. Dates are Monday and Wednesday\, May 16 and 18\, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. PT\, for the Zoom training. The in-person session is Saturday\, May 21\, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Des Moines United Methodist Church in Des Moines\, WA. This training is open to participants in the Oregon-Idaho and Pacific Northwest Conferences; a separate training is being planned for interested persons in Alaska. \nAll three days are required to complete the training. Anyone 18 years or older is welcome to attend. Full COVID-19 vaccinations in accordance with CDC guidelines are mandatory. The registration fee is $25. Class size is limited to 15 people so register ASAP.  Registration deadline is Friday\, May 6\, unless the class fills prior.
