SUMMARY:Spring Youth Overnighter: Born Again
DESCRIPTION:What does it mean to be ‘Born Again’? What does that look like? How do we do that? Do we change something about ourselves\, or is it not about us and about the Holy Spirit changing us? Whether you are ready\, scared\, confused\, or curious\, we will explore all of this at Kent United Methodist Church. \nWHO is invited: Youth 6th-12th Grade! \nWHAT are we going to do: Food\, Worship\, Music\, Games\, Smash Bros\, Karaoke\, Ice Cream\, etc. \nWHERE is it: @ Kent UMC (11010 SE 248th St\, Kent\, WA 98030 \nWHEN is it: April 18 at 1 PM – April 19 at 12 PM \nWHY are we doing this: To continue the momentum of fellowship and tradition within our PNW Conference Youth! \nHOW much is the cost: $10 per Youth. \nEJ Ragual: Host/Operations Coordinator: In charge of all operations\, and the host of the event. \nFhedrick Caoili: Worship/Band Coordinator: In charge of the worship portion\, and all band practices\, setlist\, and leading worship. \nHi all! My name is EJ Ragual. I am the Youth Leader for Kent UMC. I am truly excited to be hosting the Spring Overnighter here in Kent alongside Beacon’s Handsome Youth Leader: Fhedrick Caoili. \nWe are pouring our heart and soul into this Overnighter; so you/your youth can feel the Holy Spirit and the impact Jesus has on our lives. Our schedule and event is packed with a variety of things. From our band: Generations of Miracles (originated from Christmas Institute PNW) playing and leading worship\, to fun games\, workshops\, devotion\, and extremely delicious food (variety!). The schedule can be found here. Though the schedule may adjust as the Overnighter gets closer. \nWe would like each Youth\, and Adult to register through our Google Form link (https://forms.gle/iYdURCGLvisoYgzg6). A QR Code is also provided to you for easy access if you need to print things out. We do still welcome last-minute registrations\, so there will be paper registration forms to fill out if needed. \nRegistration for each Youth will help us stay organized and up to date with how many youth are going. SUMMARY:Escape Room Youth Overnighter
DESCRIPTION:Are you looking for a fun event for your youth that will connect them with other youth in the area? Join the Crest 2 Coast youth for an escape room overnighter at Puyallup UMC! Your church does not have to be in the C2C district in order to participate. \nPlease use this form to register your youth group. Youth leaders should register their youth groups\, fill out a roster\, and prepare all medical and photo release documents. \nEach youth group should plan to provide background-checked and trained adults. Let us know if that’s an issue and we can work with you. \nIf you are a youth leader interested in helping to plan the event\, there will be a Zoom meeting at 10 a.m. on Oct. 3. Another Zoom meeting from 6-7 p.m. on Oct. 10 will be help for all adult leaders to ensure everyone is on the same page. Please reach out to Pastor Kellen or Crystal to receive those links. \nQuestions? \nRev. Kellen Corliss: kellencorliss@gmail.com\nCrystal Goetz: crystal@puyallupumc.org

SUMMARY:Hispanic/Latino Youth Camp
DESCRIPTION:Who Do You Say I Am? (Matthew 16:15)\nDear Pastors/Youth Directors\, \nWe are so excited to invite you and your youth group to this year’s youth camp. This year we will base our retreat on the scripture found in Matthew 16:15. Our desire is that all youth can experience the presence of God during this time. This year we will have multiple speakers to lead our youth both in God’s word and in worship. \nCost: $70 per student \nAges: 12 – 21 years old (we ask that each youth group comes with chaperone as well.) \nRemember that with 7 students\, a youth director or chaperone comes in for free. \nWe will also have some friendly competition this year where your church will have an opportunity to take some trophies back home. We will have an art piece competition where we ask that the entire youth group from your church can work together to make a masterpiece. This piece has to have the theme of Matthew 16:15. We will also have a Bible trivia based on the whole chapter 16 of Matthew\, so study up. We will have some awesome workshops with topics that focus on our youth. \nThese Workshops will be provided: \n\nThe Heart of a Worshiper – Esteban Rodas\nLive out Your Singleness/Dating God’s Way – Joshua Saucedo\nWhy on Earth am I Here For!? – Hector Saucedo \nCall to Lead – Eli Martinez\n\nHope to see you there this year. \nBlessings\, \nPastor Eli & Sarah Martinez

SUMMARY:Convo 2019
DESCRIPTION:Over Memorial Day weekend\, hundreds of Youth (grades 6-12) and adult youth workers will gather at the University of Puget Sound for Convo\, three days of worship\, fun\, and learning. This United Methodist youth retreat is a fantastic opportunity to connect with friends new and old from across the Pacific Northwest!\n\nOur theme this year is The Journey. Our speaker\, Rev. Dr. Leroy Barber\, a member of the Greater Northwest Area Innovation Vitality Team\, will help us explore how we navigate the great journey of life especially as we work through times of uncertainty and trouble. We will explore how God’s love and faith keep us steadfast and give us hope even during the storms and trials of life. \nEvery year\, Convo is planned by an excellent team of youth and supportive adults who have a passion and dedication to making this the best event it can be; this year is no exception. We’ve been hosting this “Bishop’s Youth Convocation” for over 40 years and we are praying for a weekend where both youth and adults are equipped and recharged to live as passionate disciples of Jesus Christ. \nConvo Dance theme this year is THROWBACK! Whether it’s suits and ties of the 1920s or the vibrant workout fits of the 80s\, everyone has their favorite retro style. Throwback and represent your favorite decades at this fun\, time-warp of a dance. \nWho Can Go?\nConvo is for youth currently in grades 6 – 12 and their adult leaders. We ask churches to send one adult\, who has completed a national background check\, to accompany every 1- 6 youth of each gender. We will try to accommodate youth in cases where this isn’t possible. Cost is $175 for all retreat participants both youth and adults. We do offer a discount to those who are leading workshops or small groups. If you are leading a workshop or small group and you do not have your discount code please contact Teri. We offer scholarships\, for those in financial need\, to help to make this retreat possible for all. \nRegistration\nConvo registration is online. Each youth and adult registering must fill out an online registration form. Youth Leaders can choose to register their entire group at once (contact Teri for details and a registration form).  \nRegistration will close at 11:59PM PST May 9th\, 2019. \n  \nCLICK HERE to register today!\n  \nHelpful Files\nConvo Poster \nConvo Banner or Facebook Cover Photo \nConvo Quarter page flyers \nCONVO_Scholarship_Form \nWorkshop Flyer 2019 \nMore about our Speaker \nLeroy Barber has dedicated 30 years to eradicating poverty\, confronting homelessness\, restoring local neighborhoods\, healing racism\, and living what Dr. King called “the beloved community.” \nLeroy starts projects that shape society; in 1989\, burdened by the plight of Philadelphia’s homeless\, he and his wife Donna founded Restoration Ministries\, to serve homeless families and children living on the streets.
