SUMMARY:From Border to Pulpit: Nurturing the Call of Immigrant Pastoral Leaders
DESCRIPTION:Workshop for Hispanic/Latinx Leaders and Young People Exploring the Candidacy Process in The United Methodist Church\nHispanic/Latinx leaders and young people who are exploring the candidacy process in The United Methodist Church are invited to participate in this four-hour workshop designed to encourage and equip those discerning God’s call to pastoral leadership. \nLunch will be provided for all participants. \nPlease send the number of participants attending from your church to Rev. Cruz Edwin Santos at cesantos@pnwumc.org. \nWorkshop Objectives\nBy the end of this workshop\, participants will:\n\nReflect on God’s call within their own cultural and life experiences.\nUnderstand the unique opportunities and challenges of immigrant pastoral leadership.\nExplore practices for emotional and spiritual wellness in ministry.\nBuild relationships with mentors and peers who are discerning ministry.\nDevelop a personal next step in their vocational journey.\n\nWe encourage pastors\, church leaders\, and young adults who are discerning a call to ministry to attend and invite others who may be exploring vocational ministry.
