DESCRIPTION:The Interfaith Movement for Migrant Justice (IMIrJ) was birthed through the creation of the sanctuary movement in Portland Oregon in 2007. Through the years we have become one of the key players in first responding to the needs of our immigrant communities. IMIrJ works with faith communities in collaboration with many immigrant rights organizations and individuals. \nWHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THIS TRAINING? \n\nLearn the history of the Sanctuary Movement in the USA\nDevelop strategies for creating sanctuary communities\nRapid response tips -Learn legal considerations and protections\nGet resources\nSupport our work\n\nThis workshop is designed for pastors\, laypeople\, and community organizers who work with Hispanic/Latinx immigrant families.
