DESCRIPTION:West Side PNW Youth Present:\nWinter Youth Overnighter: Love is Justice\n\nGet ready for an unforgettable night packed with faith\, fun\, and real conversations! \nThis high-energy overnight experience will dive into what God’s justice looks like in our everyday lives—through powerful worship\, engaging small groups\, exciting games\, and late-night talks that matter. Students will explore how love and justice work together in God’s Kingdom while building strong friendships and lasting memories. \nDate: Saturday to Sunday February 28th- March 1st \nAddress: Faith UMC 3924 Issaquah-Pine Lake Rd SE Issaquah\, WA 98029 \nTime: 1:00 PM on Saturday to 12:00 PM after worship on Sunday \nWho: Youth 6-12th grades \nCost: $10 \nDetails: This overnight is a gathering of youth and their leaders from multiple United Methodist Churches. Each church is expected to provide chaperones with their youth. Please reach out if this is a challenge for your church. \nWe are asking that each youth be registered individually through the link. DESCRIPTION:Please join us for an ICE OUT FOR GOOD VIGIL on Sunday\, January 11 from 4-5 p.m. We join with other groups and churches around the country this weekend to name our outrage over the death of Renee Nicole Good and the shooting in Portland of Luis David Nico Moncada and Yorlenys Betzabeth Zambrano-Contreras by Immigration Enforcement officers. \nHosted by Edmonds United Methodist Church\, this will be a reflective service as we name the harms and injustices in our government and light candles in memory of those who’ve died in Detention Centers or shot by Immigration Enforcement officers. It will be followed by a short candlelight march on church grounds.

SUMMARY:Stop Hate and Side with Love Community Vigil
DESCRIPTION:Edmonds United Methodist Church is hosting a community vigil\, “We Side with Love\,” on May 2 at 6:00 pm in response to the hate-filled incidents at two regional churches. In solidarity with our LGBTQIA+ siblings\, the vigil is a space for collective lament and a collective call to stop the spread of hate and all forms of bigotry. \nVigil speakers include Snohomish County Executive Dave Somers\, State Senator Manaka Dhingra\, Edmonds Mayor Mike Nelson\, and other elected officials in King and Snohomish Counties. Additional speakers include Courtney Wooten\, Chair\, Snohomish Co. Human Rights Commission\, Washington State Poet Laureate Luna Lyte\, and Mitch Hunter from Gen Pride. Other faith leaders and LGBTQIA+ organizations will speak and offer words of inspiration and hope. \nAdvocacy and outreach organizations will be on hand at the event\, including Faith Action Network\, Gen Pride\, Edmonds Neighborhood Action Coalition\, Edmonds Diversity Commission\, Under the Rainbow\, and the Edmonds UMC Racial Justice Team. \nThe Edmonds Police and Kirkland Police Departments are working together to find and stop the individual or group behind this effort. \nTuesday’s event at 6 pm will be held at Edmonds United Methodist Church\, 828 Caspers Street\, Edmonds\, WA (425) 778-2119. \nEdmonds UMC is a reconciling faith community.
