The regular 2020 session of the Pacific Northwest Annual Conference was held remotely online Thursday, September 17, from 3:30-5:30 and 7-9 p.m. PT.
Members focused their time upon the “essential business” of the Annual Conference as determined by Bishop Elaine JW Stanovsky in consultation with conference leadership. The adoption of a conference budget for 2021 was a significant part of that work.
The session was livestreamed for guests. You can view that stream here.

In case this is your first time encountering the Annual Conference, ¶ 601 of The United Methodist Book of Discipline defines “the purpose of the annual conference is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by equipping its local churches for ministry and by providing a connection for ministry beyond the local church; all to the glory of God.”
While much of our connectional work happens throughout the course of the calendar year, this important meeting in the life of the PNWAC helps us to remember where we’ve been, reorient ourselves to each other, and set a course moving into the future together; all to the glory of God!
