Bishop Cedrick D. Bridgeforth was installed as the resident bishop of the Greater Northwest Area on Sat., May 20, 2023, during a worship service at Aldersgate UMC in Juneau, Alaska. Special called session approves 13 disaffiliations from the PNW Conference
The Pacific Northwest Conference met on Sunday, May 7, 2023, to consider disaffiliation requests. Thirteen churches – 6% of its total – were approved for disaffiliation during the special online session. Appreciation was offered to members for their faithful release of these congregations from The United Methodist Church.
First UMC Canada grows through Filipino leadership, immigrant community connections
First UMC of Canada is a growing four-site ministry serving predominantly Filipino and immigrant communities around Vancouver, B.C., lead by Rev. Norman Feliciano. With support from the Pacific Northwest Conference and the GNW IV Team, the ministry hopes to continue to grow and develop new leaders.
