Our mission is built on Christ’s firm foundation and now the new dining hall at Lazy F Camp and Retreat Center will be as well!
The concrete foundation walls were poured on January 4th when the temperature was 22 degrees. Dante Holmes, our Building Superintendent was very pleased with the outcome and the forms used to shape the foundation are now off. This was a major accomplishment as we get ready for the steel structure’s delivery on Monday, January 15th.
Our hope is to continue construction during the winter. This is dependent on how the steel structure assembly goes. If this goes well and we can put on the roof and the walls, the interior can be heated and work will continue to progress.
Response to our engraved brick campaign for the Mack Plaza just outside the building is going extremely well. So far, almost 125 bricks have been purchased, totaling $23,000 that will be going to the dining hall campaign. What a great way to signify your personal, family, or church’s involvement with our camping program.
One significant way to show the support of our conference is to have each church contribute a brick! Just $125 for a small brick or $250 for a larger one. Visit lazyfcamp.org for information on how you may purchase a brick or contribute to the campaign.
