Response Reminders in a Time of Disaster

- Call your Insurance Company regarding property damage
- Beware of Carbon Monoxide (CO) Poisoning
- Running any sort of generator or motor indoors or near an air intake is dangerous
- Operating a barbecue indoors generates CO in hazardous quantities
- Safe Water
- Water is a higher priority than food for survival
- Make sure water is not contaminated before consuming
- Prevent Further Damage – Do NOT Repair
- Take photos of damage and do only what is needed to prevent further damage until the insurance and government inspectors can assess the damage officially
- Find Shelter – call the Red Cross for the location of the nearest shelter
- Donate to Relief Efforts
- Checks should be made out to the PNW Treasurer with PNW Disaster Relief on the memo line
