ideas-rotatorThe Office of Connectional Ministries Communications Team supports and guides the communications efforts of the Pacific Northwest Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church, the Bishop Jack and Marjorie Tuell Center for Leadership Excellence, and the Greater Northwest Episcopal Area of The United Methodist Church. We produce a print newsletter, Channels, complemented by a News Blog featuring Channels content, original content, and timely news items from across the United Methodist connection.

Additionally, our communications team designs and supports the web ministry of the aforementioned groups; including their official websites and social media. We produce a weekly News Digest to help to share information and support the different projects of our annual conference ministry areas. Submissions for this the newsletter are due on Mondays by noon to and are subject to approval.

Our annual conference is also home to the Regional Media Center (RMC) which serves the United Methodist churches in the Oregon-Idaho and Pacific Northwest Conferences. In addition to its library of video resources available for loan to member churches, the center is able to consult with its members on media licensing.

Our work in supporting the communications needs of our annual conference also extends to supporting the work of the local church. Through training and consultation we assist local churches who are looking to expand or perfect their capacity to reach new people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are partners with United Methodist Communications in this work of supporting the local church.
