INTRODUCTION
The Camping Board of Stewards Campership Program has been designed in response to feedback gathered over the past years. The goals of the program are:
- To provide camping opportunities to children and youth who may not be able to participate in camping due to financial constraints;
- To provide financial resources for conference clergy to support camping through the participation of their own children;
- To provide support to families with multiple children attending camp;
- To encourage camping among ethnic minority children and youth;
- To provide flexibility for clergy in assisting campers with unique financial needs.
- If you church is willing to help sponsor campers from other churches, we can arrange designated giving to our “Send-a-kid-to-camp” campaign. Contact Brant Henshaw at bhenshaw@pnwumc.org for more information.
