Deposit Information
To secure your registration please be ready to pay your deposit of $50 per camper event. For family or adult camps the fee is $25 per camper per event. This deposit amount is non-refundable unless the event is cancelled.
Explanation of Camp Fees
This year we are showing 3 prices in our catalog. Each of these prices are available to your family and you may select the appropriate level based on your situation.
- The highest price is closest to the true price of an individuals‛ participaton
at camp. This includes items such as insurance, utilities, replacement of
equipment, and facility upgrades.
- The middle price is the amount we spend during the week of camp for your
camper to participate. These costs include: the food, the cooks, keeping the
camp ready for campers, program supplies, training, and food and lodging for
the volunteer leaders.
- The lowest price is a subsidized rate.
- - - NOTE: This price is NOT AVAILABLE to those registering after June 25, 20008.
Please carefully consider the amount that your family can afford . If the middle
price seems comfortable to you, choose it. If you think you can help with some of
the bigger expenses of the camps, please choose the higher price. And remember,
our practice is that no one is turned away for a lack of funds. If paying for
camp is a signifi cant challenge for your family, please contact the pastor of your
local United Methodist Church, or the Pacifi c Northwest Camp Registrar‛s Office
at (800) 755-7710 ext. 305.
We believe that the experience of Christian community and the life-long relationship
that you build with Jesus is priceless.
Scholarship Information
Our churches, camps and the conference offer fi nancial assistance to families
that need it. Your local church should be your fi rst stop in discovering what aid
may be available. Speak with the pastor to see if the church has scholarship
money available. They will also be able to contact the conference registrar to
request conference funds to assist with the camp fees. Scholarship requests for
conference scholarships should be postmarked by June 25, 2008. After this
date, funds will be limited and used for extreme circumstances.
Make a Donation
Conference scholarship funds come from generous donations by local churches
with extra scholarship funds, individuals who give specifi cally to this area, and
from all 4 camps who provide generous donations as well. There is also an endowment
fund with the Camping Board of Stewards with the sole purpose of providing
scholarship money for campers. Please contact Brant Henshaw at bhenshaw@
pnwumc.org or 800-755-7710 for more information on how your gift can change a
life.
