United Methodist Global AIDS Fund
While World AIDS Day is traditionally observed annually and historically on December 1, it can be a focus at any time of the year for special programs on HIV/AIDS, education and worship services featuring intercessory and healing prayer, hope in God, love and compassion in the midst of the HIV/AIDS pandemic. Offerings can be made to the United Methodist Global AIDS Fund, Advance #982345, with one-fourth of the funds received in the PNW Conference this quadrennium remaining in this Conference. Reminder: the goal has been set to raise $1 per member this quadrennium by the adopted Church and Society Action Team 2006 Annual Conference petition, “Support for the United Methodist Global AIDS Fund,” created by the 2004 General Conference. Our Conference is far short of its goal at this time.
